He was born on February 23, 1931 in Broken Bow, the son of John and Willa Miller Denson.<BR>James was a retired sales representative for ITT Grinnell where he worked for thirty years, after that he and his wife started their own company; Denson Car Valves Inc. James was an avid fisherman and really enjoyed the fishing camps he would take with his friends. He also enjoyed meeting his friends for coffee in the mornings. James and his wife had returned to McCurtain County fourteen years ago, moving from Houston, TX.<BR>James was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country during the Korean Conflict.<BR>James was a member of the Lakeside Christian Church in Broken Bow. <BR>He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Letha Fraizier and Rita Cox.<BR>James leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of fifty-three years, Lillie Denson of the home; a son David Rodney Denson, of Winnie, TX; a daughter, Diana Lynn Ferguson of Broken Bow; a sister, Magdalene Flowers of Houston, TX; two grandchildren Shanna Renee Earnhardt of Grants Pass, OR, Chelsea Lynn and husband Josh Short of Broken Bow; three great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Short, Rylee Short, and Cinch Earnhart; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.<BR> Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2008 at the Bunch-Singleton Chapel with Bro. Harold Starbuck officiating. Interment will follow at Broken Bow Cemetery.<BR>The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00p.m on Monday evening at the funeral home.<BR></SPAN> </div></td></tr></table></table>
